Claire currently works at Markel and is a UX/UI Developer based in London.

Claire is a UI/UX designer and developer specialising in complex digital platforms, with a particular focus on financial services. She currently works at Markel, where she leads the redesign of internal systems that support underwriters’ day-to-day workflows, while also managing the company’s design system and collaborating closely with developers to ensure designs translate smoothly into production.

Previously, Claire spent over three years at Deloitte, working with a range of clients across different industries to design and improve digital products and services.

She holds a First Class BSc in Web Design and Development from the University of Plymouth, where she developed a strong foundation in both design and front-end development.

Outside of work, Claire enjoys creative projects that get her away from the screen — sketching, sewing her own clothes, and spending time in the garden. She also loves long exploratory walks in the countryside and is currently working towards her motorbike licence, enjoying the challenge of learning a completely new skill. When she’s not making something, she’s probably watching a good film.
